Dentistry 21st Century

Welcome to 21st Century Dentistry Healthcare 21st

Century - High Tech, Soft Touch, Drilless & Needleless

We have always been on the forefront of new technology in dentistry

Our center continuously strives at incorporating new technology that provides a significant benefit to our patients. These technologies allow dental treatment to be more effective, faster, and less uncomfortable for most patients. Their use is markedly changing the way how dentistry is practiced and patients are treated. We have been working with almost every new technology that exists in dentistry…. From CEREC System, Drilless Dentistry, Electronic Anesthesia, Nitrous Oxide Sedation, IntraOral Video Camera, Digital X-Ray, to Laser Dentistry.

CEREC System CAD/CAM

Getting to grips with the future, Geared to our individual needs and putting the fun back into our work‎
CEREC is the latest and most impressive piece of dental technology today. We are proud to announce that we have 1 of 2 CEREC systems are being used in the Gulf area!!! Most patients that require porcelain restorative procedures can now have them done in one visit.
CEREC uses a sophisticated combination of high-tech precision machinery and computer technology to produce custom restorations that include Inlay, onlay, crown or Veneer.
By choosing a CEREC you will notice straight away that these restorations have the natural appearance of your own teeth and will not look like a replacement tooth. Above all, our patients will have the feeling that they are highly valued clients opposed to mere cases.

Method:

  • After the tooth is prepared, an Optical impression is taken by simply photographing the teeth with a special computer camera. The impression read by CEREC computer and appears on the monitor.

  • The restoration is then designed on the computer screen while you watch.

  • A robotic milling unit while you watch mills the restoration.

  • The finish restoration is ready to be bonded into your tooth at the same visit.

Benefits to the patient:

  • No unpleasant impression taking.

  • No second visit.

  • No temporary restoration.

  • Tooth tissue is preserved.

  • Biocompatible, No metal materials

  • Natural-looking, esthetic treatment result with long term stability

Drilless Dentistry = Air Abrasion “KCP”

“The End of the Drill Marks a New Era in Dentistry”

KCP the most incredible advance in dentistry as we near the year 2000.

We are proud to be among the first in The Middle East to offer KCP. This new instrument can be used as an alternative to the drill in some procedures. Instead of grinding away tooth structure like a drill, tiny particles of alpha alumina (a substance used in tooth paste) carried to the tooth by a stream of air, gently and precisely spray away decay thus preparing cavities to be filled ... without the need for a drill. The KCP allows us to treat decay, at an earlier stage without less removal of healthy tooth material. Teeth treated this way will be less likely to require crowns in the future. Smaller fillings are less susceptible to wear and will last longer.

Children can now have cavities treated faster, easier, and more painlessly than ever before.. It enhances our ability to treat patients who are pregnant or otherwise medically compromised.

KCP Treating Tooth Decay without a Drill

  • Most Comfortable: So gentle and precise.
  • No Needle: Generally an injection is unnecessary.
  • No Noise: Almost Silent
  • No Drill: Hardly a day goes by without several patients asking, "when are they going to get rid of the drill"?
  • Absolutely Safe
  • 50% of the time, we can answer, "right now"!

Electronic Anesthesia “Cedeta”

Towards Freedom from Pain, No Needle Anesthesia

JDC offers Cedeta, a new technology that has been patented worldwide, it provides non-invasive, targeted electronic anesthesia for dental applications. The Cedeta controls pain for all restorative procedures eliminating the need for injections and chemical anesthetics. It is a targeted electronic anesthesia that stops pain without needles or injections. A receptor is placed on your gum then you control your comfort level with a unit that is held in your hand. All you feel is a "tingling sensation" on your gum as the Cedeta sends out a "wave" to block the body's naturally occurring electrical pain signals where the dental treatment is being performed.

Benefits to the patient:

  • No Needles
  • No Drugs
  • No Post-Operative Numbness
  • Reduces Patients’ Fear and Anxiety
  • Very Effective in Children
  • Chemical Free: Eliminates Allergic Reactions and Drug Interaction Problems
  • No Cross Infection: Reduces the Risk of Spreading Disease

So the next time you visit JDC make sure that you ask your dentist to use the Cedeta system.

Nitrous Oxide Sedation “Laughing Gas”

JDC provides patients with the opportunity to choose pain relief in the form of nitrous oxide or "laughing gas" for any dental procedure. Nitrous oxide is highly- effective, extremely safe and remarkably calming. It induces a relaxed, tranquil feeling that it is perfect for many people who feel a little anxious about getting dental treatment. It’s especially good for nervous patients or frightened children, or anyone who feels uncomfortable in the dentist’s chair. Nitrous oxide, when used properly, raises one's threshold to pain, while providing a hypnotic effect that can make the dental visit one where you feel as if you've dropped your teeth off to be worked on, and will pick them up later.

Intraoral Video Camera

Increases your understanding of recommendation made by your dentist

JDC believes that our patients' understanding of the options available to them to best create a healthy and beautiful smile is key to achieving the best results. This technique provides you, a close up view of your teeth enabling you to see the current status of your teeth. JDC equipment includes the IntraOral camera, which is a tiny video camera that is designed to pick up images inside your mouth. The images picked up by the camera are magnified many times and viewed on a monitor and can be stored on a computer as a digital image.

Benefits to the patient:

  • This allows the dentist to show you exactly what he sees in your mouth.
  • It also helps the dentist to discuss with you your treatment options.
  • It allows you to get the most out of your consultations with the dentist.
  • It allows you to see exactly what your dentist is describing while working on your teeth.
  • It allows you to better understand your dental condition and see the results of your treatment.
  • Early stages of gum disease can be detected more clearly with the magnified images of the camera.

Digital X-Ray “Low Dose X-Ray”

A New Era of Diagnostic Quality

JDC uses digital X-Ray which require up to 90% less radiation per film than usual x-ray and the image is presented on the monitor screen few tenths of a second after exposure. We use the same x-ray machines, but instead of film we use an electronic sensor that captures the x-ray and sends it to the computer. We can then zoom in on a certain portion of the image, change the density or color, and manipulate the image in any number of other ways to increase the amount of information that we can get from the x-ray, all that within seconds.

Laser Dentistry “Low Level Laser”

Very effective in increasing the quality of our dental care

The dental laser offers little to no bleeding, minimal swelling, scarring, infection or post-operative discomfort. It reduced the need for anesthesia. In general more comfortable healing and Post- operative pain medication is reduced or eliminated.

The low-level laser (LLL) is very precise, it allows us to treat gum disease earlier than ever before. What many patients appreciate about the laser is comfort. LLL is energy in the form of light that stimulates cells to perform more effectively; thus accelerating their natural healing powers. Lasers like the one in our office have safely performed millions of procedures. Though it is a wonderful instrument, the laser is not appropriate for all procedures. It is frequently used in conjunction with conventional instruments, its use in dentistry can be divided into:

Promote Healing: After extraction, gum surgeries, oral ulcers.
Prevent Pain: Scaling, cavity preparation.
Prevent Post-Operative Pain: Root canal treatment, extraction, gum surgery.
Pain Therapy: Hypersensitive teeth, after root canal treatment.
Diagnostic Therapy: Evaluation of pulp condition.

Uses of Computers at JDC

Dentistry Enters the Computer Era

High-Tech Is Changing the Practice of Dentistry

JDC have never turned back on the technological revolution, so that, our center stands apart from most traditional dental clinics. With the dental software programs we use, our computers allow us to perform many services for our patients which go far beyond the capabilities of most other practices.
